Back to knock some sense back into the nation, The Grumpy Old Women return
with a 21 date New Zealand tour of their brand spanking new show FIFTY
Shades of Biege!
This jam-packed show comes from the original authors, Jenny Éclair
and Judith Holder, and stars three of New Zealand’s favourite theatre
actresses Geraldine Brophy, Jude Gibson and Lynda Milligan. It includes
all the most Grumpy topics... learning the art of 'Grumpy Grooming', the
joy of large pants, a free nagging master class (how to get your own way
without him even noticing), beards for women, which style will suit you?
Complimentary Anger Management workshop, middle-aged drinking: the rules,
navigating the smorgasbord of worry, voluntary euthanasia vs. retirement,
how to customise an unwanted pole dancing kit and a mercifully brief Zumba
demonstration. All this and more!
Inspired by the ratings-busting BBC Two series and best selling Grumpy old
Women handbook, Grumpy Old Women Live, is a celebration of the pre-, peri-
and post-menopausal female condition. Three live and rather furious females
take to the stage for an orgy of middle aged mayhem, with not a thong in
sight. Don't forget your bifocals.
Come and bask in an orgy of fury and big laughs in this glorious live version
of the hit TV show.
What the Press have said about Grumpy Old Women:
“
An evening of Olympic-class whingeing about the state of the world, the
collapse of good manners and the general ineptitude of men. . . Some of
the mediations on mortality and the fading of desire could almost have
been lifted from a Beckett play.” The Times ????
“The writing is stiletto sharp. Great gales of laughter greet every admission and shared middle-aged secret.” Daily Mail
“Warmhearted, witty, empathetic and, dare I say it, rather empowering.” The Observer
“The show is simply uproarious. It is big, brash and colourful, riding
on a wave of warmth and empathy.” The Stage
